One of the hardest things about moving away is going to be missing family in every form.
While tech helps, the potential for daily interaction face to face cannot be fully replaced.
And even though we have moved overseas before (separately, Jen for 2 years, and I for 8 months) we are now a couple and moving with our daughter, so other people's neice, cousin and granddaughter.

Even creating a collage is difficult - everyone to be included, nobody showing larger or smaller than anyone else.
In this one Aunty Chuck and Cousin Reva are centre stage, and Uncle Bill features twice! But please rest assured that we have the same love for all our family.
We aren't moving away from family deliberately, we are just trying to make something positive in a different location.
Doors are always open, and we are only at the end of a phoneline/broadband cable, with a massive hug should you manage to step off a plane.

So we'll miss you all, and we'll love you all, and that will be the same whether we are on the beach in Skegness, or the beach in Barbados.
And while visiting Skegness may be easier, we hope you'll visit us in Barbados more.

We'll miss the impromptu visits, and the last minute meet ups - the lunches that roll into dinners, the dinners that roll into brunches.
But we'll enjoy all the times that we have with you, on screen or in person, and we'll make sure it's all quality time, and that it counts.
