A lot of press of late for Top Boy, now seen by some as the UK's version of "The Wire".
I'm obviously a bit biased and I like the characters/actors, but I think it's got something better/different to what's gone before.
It paints a picture of life in London that everyone is aware of, but not many people see/face up to.
"County Lines" is a buzz word in the crime press, but people ignore the youngers working every day in the drug trade in our capital city.

The programme got 2 short series through Channel 4 back in 2011 and 2013, but didn't make much impact (or I overlooked it).
Since then the Canadian rapper Drake has picked up on it, and encouraged a full third season Netflix.

Seasons 1 & 2 follow 2 London dealers making their way in Summerhill, East London, any which way they can.
Played by Ashley Walters, who is also good in Bulletproof, and Kane Robinson, also known as the recording artist Kano.
There are a handful of other familiar faces, but the kids are the ones that really carry it, mainly looking up to the elders to lead their way.

It will be interesting to see how Season 3 plays out, with no doubt a bigger production budget and some North American input.
Hopefully they haven't killed off what was an under-appreciated home grown gem.
